Oh, I am a big girl!

Hi! It's my turn! If you didn't figure it out from the title, this is Caroline. Graham has provided the last few updates. Mommy says sometimes that he will get more turns than me and then will be times, I will get more turns updating the blog. Well I say it is about time it is my turn!

So what is new? Gosh, I guess Graham updated you on Christmas. I will give my take on it. It was plenty of fun, but I really didn't open any of my presents. I was more interested in what else was going on. We went to Nanny's. I really like cats and really want to play with Nanny's kitty. She just doesn't like us to bother her. I do my best to make her want to play. We made cookies for Santa and made some decorations. I like to do art projects! I also had fun playing with Benjamin and Joe. Sometimes the stuff that Graham and Benjamin do is just silly. They were playing basketball in the living room at Benjamin's house. They really think they have 'moves'. Well I didn't see any college recruiters hanging around..... So what was my favorite gift? My new baby doll or my dollhouse or new boots, or my new chair? Umm, I would say it is my hand-me down kitty cat that Grandma brought me from Kayla. I love my kitty!

I think Graham talked about going sledding too. He LOVED it! Me, not so much. I went down with Mommy and ended up with snow in my face. Then they tried to get me to go down later on my own. I didn't like that either. Watching Graham and the other kids was fun. I didn't want to leave, but I didn't want to go down that hill again!

Have you heard how much I like taking Graham to school and picking him up? When we pull into the parking lot, I sometimes call out "Friends!" My friends are Ava and Matt. Ava's brother and Matt's sister go to school with Graham. We have had playdates with some of our preschool friends. We have missed some of them, but the ones we have been to are sure fun! We went to Julia and Connor's house. The older kids were having a dance party in Julia's room with the door closed. I went in and joined the fun! Just this week we met some of our friends at Backyard Adventures. Graham and I love that place! We played and played. Graham and his friends were so silly. I did plenty of giggling too. I played with the big kids some, but Matt too. Ava is younger than me and Matt so we could do more things than her. The mommies were really impressed with my climbing abilities!

Speaking of my climbing abilities, I can climb out of my crib! The other week Mom tried to put me to bed at naptime before I was ready. I climbed right out before she could even get downstairs! another day I woke up and Mommy didn't come to get me fast enough and I crawled out and went looking for her upstairs. She finally came up when I was searching her room for her. Most recently, I didn't even bother calling for her, I just climbed out and went to Mommy and Daddy's room! Now that is what I do everyday.

If you are impressed by that, then you should also be impressed that I pee in the potty sometimes. I haven't ditched the diapers yet, but Mommy is hopeful that the diaper days are numbered! Boy that will make our garbage can smell better. :P

I talk a lot now. It makes it easier to get what I want since I can tell Mommy what I want for dinner or for snack. For example, when I go in Mommy's room in the morning, I tell her 'weady' so she knows I am ready to go downstairs. When I hear the garage door open in the evening, I say 'Daddy home, Daddy home!'. I love to call out looking for my family 'Bwoduh, are you?' Hmm, typing that just doesn't look as cute as it sounds when I am looking for Brother!

Since I talk so much, I can really communicate what I want to eat. One of my favorite foods (and words) is CHEESE. Mommy is really noticing the difference between what I like versus what Graham likes. I eat way more cheese than he does. I like salty snacks more than sweets. Graham likes sweets more. He likes 'shamwiches' more than I do and bread for that matter. I like meat more than he does, often asking for more. Graham loves peanut butter. He also likes breakfast more than me. Whereas Graham will ask for graham crackers, I ask for 'fish' i.e. goldfish. One thing we both love - popcorn! Watching it pop, eating it, even saying the word is fun!

With an older brother I play a lot with cars, tractors, and trains. Our kitchen is always fun and I do like my little house and playing with my babies. Playing with dolls is fun, but I really like real babies. At Backyard Adventures last week, one of the other mommies saw me kiss a baby. I tried to do it again. There is another baby we see at tumbling. I had to kiss her and I really want to touch her. Even babies that aren't really much younger than me. I like to hug Ava. I don't know if she likes it or not. Matt hugged me and Mommy and Miss Amy (his mommy) thought it was cute. Then he kissed me! Typical boy - he swaggered around after he did it!

Well here are a couple more pics and I need to sign off.

Winter Fun

Hey Graham Fans! Winter is here! We finally had some real snow! We definitely got to have some fun in it. Yeah I know there has been some snow before, and Mom built a little snowman with us. Last Saturday though, it snowed a LOT! Daddy and I built a REALLY big snowman!

We helped scoop the sidewalks, threw snowballs, worked on building a fort - oh the fun we had! On Sunday, we went sledding down this big hill not far from our house. I L-O-V-E-D it! I didn't want to stop! Caroline went down the hill with Mom and by herself. She didn't like it as well.

Besides the snow, we went to Judy's house for a Super Bowl Party. She has a couple of dogs and then there were two visiting dogs. I really liked the dogs that didn't jump up on me. I also really liked playing with her toys! She has some stuff I really like. We have kind of been on the go this week. Besides going to Judy's, we went to a play date at one of our preschool friends. Her mommy had lots of yummy things to eat and again it was fun to play with different toys. That same day we went to Uncle Greg's for dinner. Caroline and I like to chase/try to catch Odell (the cat) and play with Greg's tractor's. He even gave me one of his tractors with a disk! He had some construction equipment that we hadn't seen before. We played quite awhile with those. Fun stuff!

So what have we been up to between Christmas and the big snow? We have managed to keep busy. Shortly after the New Year, Mommy took Caroline and I to the big library downtown, then we met Daddy at 'Nera for lunch. The most important part of the day was going to the Monster Truck Rally! Just 'the boys'! Wow was it fun! It got a little loud despite wearing hearing protection. I talked about it the whole way home!

We went to Grandma's while Dad was out of town last month. We left after preschool. I don't usually fall asleep on the way to Grandma's anymore. I usually watch Cars, but I quit watching about halfway there. I kept watching for Grandma's house, but it took FOREVER to get there. It was really cold while we were there, but I still played out in the snow some. I made a couple of snow angels. Caroline couldn't take the cold and went back in with Grandma. Wimp! We also got to make cupcakes! Yummy!

The next weekend Grandpa came for a visit. He took us to a movie! It was a really good one - Alvin and the Chipmunks. Other than a potty break, I made it through the whole movie. Caroline didn't sit that much - she is kind of young still to watch an entire movie. We went out to lunch too. Grandpa got to see why Mom and Dad don't always like to go out to eat....Grandpa read books to Sissy before she went to bed. She looks pretty sleepy! She actually had a bad cold when Grandpa was here.

I had a really big day at preschool a couple weeks ago - Daddy got to come to class with me for the whole class. It was so fun! We made a snowman. After school we went to lunch - just the boys! Dad even took me to the ice cream store for dessert! Umm, Umm! good stuff.

Well Mom and Dad haven't taken as many pictures lately but here are a couple of Caroline and me playing in a couple of boxes. We really haven't been stuck in the house this winter, but we can make the most of it when we do!
