Catching up

Hey Graham Fans - Trying to catch up on my work! Like I tell you things are busy around here! Caroline is growing. She doesn't sleep as much, though she still sleeps a lot. As much as she sleeps, she doesn't always sleep when I want her to. When I get up from my nap, I need to snuggle with Mommy. She will decide that she needs held or needs to eat during my snuggle time. I get a little mad.

Mommy, Daddy and I went to Grandma's house to celebrate Grammy's (great grandma's) 90th birthday. Our relatives from Texas were here. When we got to Grandma's, I got to ride the lawn mower and the four wheeler and sit on the tractor! One of my cousins is about my age. We kept taking turns pushing the mower that was our size - I tried to make sure I had more time pushing it. Unfortunately the next day it rained all day so I had to stay inside and play.
We all went out to dinner at the Amana's, then had birthday cake and ice cream at Grammy's house. I like cake!
I like to help out at home. I helped move some dirt around the flower pots and threw it around the deck. For some reason, I am not sure that Mommy and Daddy appreciated it!
The next weekend was Caroline's baptism. Nanny and Grandpa came up on Saturday. It was fun to have company! Mommy, Daddy, Caroline, and I went to a birthday party too. They had a play set in their backyard and some riding toys. There were some other kids to play with too. The neighbors had some fun looking toys so I walked over to check them out. Daddy came and retrieved me however. Anyway on Sunday, Grandma, Grammy, Aunt Deb, Uncle Tim, Sam, Kayla, and Uncle Greg all came. It is great to have all that attention! Of course, I have to share with Caroline now.... I didn't hang out much for the baptism - I like to run around church so that is what I did. I did see Caroline get wet so I guess she is baptized now.

The next weekend we just hung out as a family. We went to the zoo. It is always fun to feed the animals! Caroline didn't get to see anything - just the inside of the stroller! We also went to Chucke Cheese for the first time. I got in the big tubes and couldn't figure out how to get out. Some nice older girl helped my get out!

We have started going to the library for story time again. They have some fun stuff to play with so I like to hang out afterwards and play with the toys. There was also a special music class a couple weeks ago. We sang some of our usual songs. Mommy let me play on the playset outside afterwards. There was a bunch of construction equipment outside so really all the kids just watched the digger and the bobcat.

One of the really, really fun things I did lately was going to an Iowa Cubs game with Daddy. We met up with Eric and Ethan DeVries. Ethan and I ran around and had so much fun! Ethan got lost for a little while which was scary for everyone but we found him and he was okay. A few days later we went to a party at Ethan's house. It was a lot of fun - some kid pools, a sandbox, and plenty of kids. The next night we went to another party at Samantha's house with plenty of kids and fun toys. Ethan and I played together again!

Until next time...

It has been awhile

Hey Graham Fans! Did you think I forgot about all of you? Well I haven't. Life is just busy now with being a big brother. Of course, we were without a computer for several days - apparently it can't handle my 'using' it. I am just lucky Mommy let me post an update - she is watching me like a hawk to make sure I am gentle!

Gosh with so much time that has past, I am not sure I can remember everything that has happened. I will probably post a couple so that this one doesn't get too long! Having a new baby in the house puts a lot of responsibility on me. When Daddy is work, I have to watch out for Mommy AND Caroline. I try to help Mommy the best I can. I pull out all of the diapers sometimes to find just the right one for Bebe. I have volunteered to help Mommy feed her (see below), but for some reason she does it herself.

As you can see, I have also tried to help on the computer, which I guess is why it got sent in for repair. I try to put in Bebe's pacifier. I also use my hand to make sure she is alert - don't want her sleeping too much! (i.e. hitting her). Mommy and Daddy like it when I kiss her so I still do that a lot. Mommy won't let me pick her up yet - I do try. Sometimes Caroline's crying gets old. I will hold Mommy tighter so she can't let go me of to pick her up. Other times I just try to block it out.

It is my job to try out her toys to make sure they are okay! I wouldn't want her to play with them otherwise.

I don't get outside as much as I would like now that Caroline is here, but we still get out. I ride my tractor around the neighborhood. The girls in the cul de sac like to ride it. I see it as a bartering tool so I can ride on one of their toys. I have found that summer brings some good food too! Ummm corn on the cob! I can't wait for the Iowa corn!

We had some fun over Memorial Day weekend. Grandpa and Susan, Uncle Brad, Aunt Lisa, and Benjamin came to town for a bbq contest and to celebrate Grandpa's 60th birthday. Daddy's Uncle Brian showed up to surprise Grandpa. It was down at Valley Junction. There was a REALLY nice motorcycle parked by their site. I wasted no time checking it out!I was running around as much as possible. Grandpa too me to hear the band. I like music!Daddy's friends stopped including Elliana and her family. I played with her and of course Cousin Benjamin.

Another weekend Mommy, Caroline and I went to visit Mommy's frind Judy. She has a pool! She tried to get me to go in, but I just played with her from the side. She did have a lot of fun toys to try out!

Well that brings us up to early June. I will try to get another update posted this week that will cover the family activities for June and this 4th of July weekend.

What just happened

Hey Graham Fans! It has been awhile since I posted. My world has changed! Mommy and Daddy have talked about a baby in Mommy's (might I add BIG) tummy. This baby would come live with us. Well the other week Grandma shows up and then the next morning Grandpa shows up early. Mommy and Daddy were hustling around. Grandpa and Daddy let me play outside really early. Before long they loaded up and left - without ME! Grandma and Grandpa kept me entertained all day. It was kind of hard to nap without Mommy. Eventually Uncle Greg showed up. I heard them all talk about 'it' being a girl. Then Nanny shows up and her and Grandpa head out. Grandma and Uncle Greg wanted me to go to bed. I snuggled up with Uncle Greg and then with Grandma, but they tried to put me to bed - no go! Daddy got home and he put me to bed. Strangely Mommy didn't come back with Daddy. So the next morning Daddy leaves again, then Grandma and Nanny took me to this place and Mommy was there! I sat right next to her, then Grandma sat down with my new sister Caroline (long 'i'). I kissed her a lot and liked to hug her. We went back in the afternoon and then Grandma and Uncle Greg took me back. Mommy stayed at this hospital place with Caroline. Another morning started and Daddy left again and I hung out with Grandma. Finally at lunchtime, Mommy was home with Daddy and Caroline too. I missed Mommy and needed some good snuggle time with her. Daddy has been really good about playing with me since Mommy seems to have to take care of Caroline.

We have had several visitors which has been kind of fun when they play with me. It isn't easy having to share Mommy with Caroline - sometimes I really need her to hold me and Caroline is taking up Mommy's time. Sometimes we have to share Mommy's arms and lap. I do my best to take more than my share!!!

One good thing about getting a new sister is the new toys I have received - a remote control car, a truck book, some matchbox trucks, a 'hoop', a Sesame Street DVD, a little etch-a-sketch thing, some balls, a watering can and garden tools. It makes living with a needy baby easier!
Daddy and Mommy took me to this fun place - Pump It Up. They have these blow-up rides. Daddy and I kept going down this slide. It was SO much fun! I hope we get to go back there soon!
We took Caroline to the doctor when she was two weeks old. She weighed 7 lbs 7 oz - Mommy was impressed. She had grown 3/4 of an inch in length too. I got weighed too. When I was at the doctor last, I had lost weight from the previous appointment. I weighed 27 lbs 8 oz - up 2 lbs in three months putting me at the 60th percentile. After going to the doctor I didn't feel well. Mommy took me back to the doctor on Thursday - found out I had Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. Mommy wondered why I hadn't been sleeping well - she found out my throat hurt!

Gosh what else is new - I am getting better at driving my tractor and I really like to help Dad mow the lawn with my mower. We have gotten some other new things at the house. Check out the pictures!
Caroline sleeps a lot, but seems to need Mommy at the same times I need her. We haven't been able to play at the neighbors - we have to be close to the house so we can check on Caroline if she cries. Sometimes she cries too much!

The Newest Bagby

Caroline Jane Bagby entered the world at 6:18 p.m. May 3. She weighed 6 lbs 5 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. She has light brown hair - not as much as what Graham came out with, but plenty on the back and sides. We will post more, but wanted to share some pictures to show off our little angel.

Love this weather!

Hey Graham Fans! Spring is really here! I love to go outside!! I ride in the wagon and sometimes we go to the park. There are some girls that live in the cul de sac that will let me play with them. I shoot baskets and play in their sandbox. One day I grabbed my soccer ball and walked down the street until I found a basketball hoop with a boy shooting some hoops. He didn't mind that I shot hoops too. I did try to run into their backyard, but Mom caught me. I am really fast anymore so it is harder for her to catch me!

A couple of weeks ago Daddy had some friends and lucky me there were friends for me too! Ethan, Elliana and I played while our dad's and some other guys watched the basketball games. We had so much fun! Daddy made barbecue and I ate a bunch of ribs and cole slaw. UMMM!
Last week was Easter and we went to Kansas city to see all of my family there. I got to play a lot outside at Nanny's, Grandpa's, and at Uncle Brad's. Grandpa and I played at his neighbor's house - they had lots of outdoor toys. Grandpa had to leap the fence (maybe I shouldn't tell that part). On Saturday, we dyed eggs at Nanny's house. That was fun! I tried to play with Nanny's dog Abby. I think I intimidate her or maybe she is just shy. We had lunch at Grandpa's house and played outside some more. I also chased Susan's cats - one lets me pet it. In the evening we went to Uncle Brad and Aunt Lisa's house for dinner. I played with Cousin Benjamin - he is younger so I tried to teach him some of my moves. He isn't able to climb the stairs like I can or run as fast. I am sure he will soon be running fast and cutting and weaving like me. We had fun playing! When we go home on Sunday, the Easter Bunny had left me a basket of goodies that included an Elmo DVD that I love, a race car, bubbles, and CANDY. M&M's are my favorite candy and fortunately the Easter Bunny knew that!
Mommy and I went to Uncle Greg's on Sunday. We even took Dakota. Uncle Greg has a cat and he has toy tractors so I got to chase the cat, lay in her bed AND play with a tractor that pulled a plow or a wagon. We went for a walk on the trail behind his house. When we got back, the neighbor boy was playing basketball outside. He had the coolest basketball hoop. It was high when I got there, but he cranked it down so it was closer to the ground. He or his mom would lift me up so I could make a basket. I would grab a ball and just keep backing up until they picked me up! They had a dog like Dakota but bigger. I had fun playing with them. Later at home, Daddy brought up my John Deere tractor and wagon to drive outside. I just don't know if the day could get any better!

37 weeks - holy cow!

The countdown is on! Today I hit 37 weeks which makes me full-term. Last week I started seeing the doctor every week. All continues to be well and the baby is where it is supposed to be. The baby continues to be very active. Sometimes I think it is trying to escape through the front of my stomach. We are getting ready for the Baby 2's arrival. I have washed some of G's clothes in case it is a boy as well as the washable portions of the carseat, swing and one of the bouny seats. Bassinet, crib, and pack and play linens. This week I plan to freeze a couple of casseroles. When I was putting the carseat back together, Graham kept saying 'baby'. If we talk about our baby, he will hug and kiss my stomach. We will see how well he does when it actually arrives. Not sure how many more posts there will be before the baby. Besides getting ready for baby, we just listed our house so keeping it clean with Graham is a challenge! Hopefully someone makes an offer before the baby arrives so we aren't juggling a newborn, toddler and weekly open houses!

Hey Graham Fans! Long time since my last post! I have been busy and just when I was starting to compile my notes our computer died. Fortunately the new one arrived and I am really enjoying the new features. Our old one was SO old - like 5 years old. I just can't imagine being 5 years old - it just seems so old!

Something called Lent started awhile back. It means we go to church and eat fish on Friday. Well Mommy eats fish, Daddy cooks in the kitchen with a bunch of other guys, and I eat a few french fries, a couple bites of mac and cheese, ALWAYS dessert while running around. It seems to work well to eat, then run off, eat some more then run off, hope Mommy is ready for dessert, then run around more. There are so many kids there. I like to chase the bigger kids, but the ones my size will actually chase me back. It is a LOT of fun. Daddy's friends always come and talk to me too. Mr. Greg will carry me some. I like to go back and find Daddy in the kitchen. Mommy tries to keep up with me, but I can dodge in and out of people easier than she can. Who knew going to church could be so much fun!

Since my last update, Nanny came to visit. She brought me Valentine gifts! One thing was a broom that was just my size. I like to sweep! Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner by themselves so Nanny and I played by ourselves. I still don't get why Mommy and Daddy like to do anything without me but for some reason they do. Anyway, Nanny and I colored and played with my cars and trains. We had a good time. We played in the morning too and had more fun! Somehow when I took my nap, she must have sneaked out. I tried on her reading glasses - not sure they were me.

The next weekend Aunt Deb and her family stayed at our house while they were in town for an archery tournament. They were gone quite a bit but they still had time to play with me. If I want to be carried they all really like to carry me too particularly Sam and Kayla. Uncle Greg came over for awhile too. He likes to play with me so we had a good time up in my room.

Since we are on a streak of seeing family who do you think I saw the next weekend? Grandma! Daddy went to Kansas City to some barbeque contest with Grandpa and Uncle Brad. It was too cold for Mommy and I to be able to visit him so we visited Grandma. We went to the outlet mall, which I am not necessarily a fan of shopping but I got to walk between stores - no riding in the stroller. There was one store that had a bunch of samples so Grandma kept sneaking me pretzels. They also had these little rides on the sidewalk. I convinced Grandma to let me ride one and Mommy to let me ride another. I admit I didn't want to get off either one. I saw Grandma's purse so just knew she had more money in there. We also went in the Nike store. Mommy found some cool tennis shoes that I just had to put on. They also had basketballs in the store which I loved. We were in one store and in walks Aunt Deb so she got to walk with me and carry me around too. I walked a LONG way. We left after we ate lunch and I have to admit it wasn't long before I fell asleep! That night we went to a fish fry at Grandma's church. Who knew Grandma's church would have one too! Of course I ran around. Grammy was there too. Grandma's friends Bubsy and Ginny came to talk to us. Before we left, I got to ride with Bubsy in his wheel chair, but more fun was pushing him around. I have to say I was a good pusher. I am sure Bubsy would agree. I wasn't ready to leave but we left anyway.

Grandma switched around some toys. All of her Oliver tractors disappeared from the bookcase - I hope no one stole them! Fortunately there was still one with the toys. She had a pick-up truck and wagon in her night stand the last time I was there. I looked for it but she moved it to the other toys. She got out a toy I had not seen before - a firetruck with lights, siren, and a ladder that works. It was a lot of fun. The other new thing I discovered was this big machine that you walk on but don't go anywhere. Mommy and I just saw one in a store, but she wouldn't make it go. Overall it was a good trip, but after a couple of days away from home, I am ready to get back to my routine.

We have finally started to play outside again. The snow was basically gone so it was time to get out. When it is colder, Daddy and Mommy won't let me stay out as long. I let them know that I don't like it and do my best to get back outside. We have been to the park twice. Mommy and I were there one day and Daddy and Dakota showed up - what a nice surprise! Uncle Greg was over on another day so he, Mommy, Dakota, and I went to the park. Uncle Greg pulled the wagon and I walked behind. I was glad he brought the wagon as I wanted to ride on the way back. Mommy and I played with the kids in the neighborhood one day too. So much to do outside! We need to be out there more! I also need to be allowed to play with everything I want - the snow blower, the lawn mower or the lawn chemicals. Why is it bad to play with these things?!

Here are some pics from my activities back in March. So sorry for the delay in posting, but it is Mommy's fault.
